Tony
Tony began his guitar journey at the age of 12, studying under Thomas Gagliardi, a jazz session musician in Philadelphia. He further honed his skills with various instructors, including Bobby Ferrara and Shawn Christie, a respected figure in performance and music theory. His musical career commenced in high school, where he played in the jazz band and a David Bowie tribute band, leading to a continuous stage presence.
Throughout the early 1980s, he toured with multiple bands before joining Wrathchild, a prominent act in 80s rock venues. In the early 90s, he was part of Triage, an original band signed to EMI. In 1993, he joined a Scorpions tribute band that evolved into Stage3, performing classic rock and metal across the East Coast for nearly three decades. In 2016, he became a member of Loaded Gun, creating original hard rock music that gained airplay in Europe.
As the music landscape evolved, Tony transitioned from Stage3 to ICandee, a dual female-fronted dance rock band. His passion for tribute projects remains strong, as he has portrayed Glenn Tipton in the Judas Priest tribute band MetalGodz for 16 years, touring extensively and achieving notable performances, including a headlining show at the Whiskey in LA in January 2020. In 2021, he partnered with his fiancée to form Shadows of The Night, a tribute to Pat Benatar’s music, showcasing his enduring commitment to live performance.
Bass
Mike
Mike started in music with piano lessons at age 8, and had theory lessons up to age 14.
He intially learned bass on an upright but quickly switched to electric bass to join his first band at 16.
Arriving in Philadelphia from the Poconos for college, he was sought after by all the theatrical performing arts groups,
playing for many musical productions. He and his classmates formed a working cover/original band, Aire, in the late 70’s, playing in the city and suburbs. He moved on to join Alibi in 1980, a band that specialized in fraternity party music, playing anything from Punk, Southern Rock, Prog Rock to Top 40. Alibi dominated the Greek scene at Drexel, Penn, Temple, and many other schools on the East Coast, earning Mike enough to pay for college.
Before joining iCandee, Mike has been the bassist for So Central Rain, an REM tribute based in Lafayette Hill, PA.
They have performed at the Ardmore Music Hall and several wineries/breweries in the western suburbs.
Very new to the South NJ music scene, Mike enjoys playing at local venues and connecting with people at shows, making new friends and fans, while holding down the bottom end for iCandee!
